I just finished the book -
Life of Pi. It's too much. I spent almost half a year reading it. Of course I did stop several times, where I find that being a castaway doesn't really sound much interesting. I love Robinson Crusoe. Always.
I couldn't get Him out of my head. Still can't. I spend three solid days thinking about Him. The more He bothered me, the less I could forget Him. And the more I learned about Him, the less I wanted to leave Him.
Pi believes in many gods. But, this paragraph is about God, Christianity. He talked about Jesus whom he could not comprehend. He unlocks every doorways, just to get closer to the God above all Gods.
I will not die. I refuse it. I will make it through this nightmare, I will beat the odds, as great as they are. I have survived so far, miraculously. Now I will turn miracle into routine. The amazing will be seen every day. I will put in all the hard work necessary. Yes, so long as God is with me, I will not die. Amen
Pi prays in the time of despair. And what can we complain about ? We are too arrogant, seeking no help from our Creator. But for Pi, he never give up. He hopes. He believes.

Love is hard to believe, ask any lover. Life is hard to believe, ask any scientist. God is hard to believe, ask any believer. What is your problem with hard to believe ?
People don't seem like believe in miracles.
We seem to live by things that comply to our intelligence. Didn't we ? But Pi, his story is unbelievable.
What story do you want? With animals, or without ?
We want logical things. We want story without floating bananas.
Isn't telling about something - using words, already something of an invention ? Isn't just looking upon this world already something of an invention. The world isn't just the way it is. It is how we understand it, no ? And in understanding something, we bring something to it, no ? Doesn't that make like a story ?
Yes, everything that exists, make a great story. So we create stories, we read stories. And we are thrilled by miraculous stories.
The account of the investigators says,
as an aside, story of sole survivor, Mr. Piscine Molitor Patel, Indian citizen, is an astounding story of courage and endurance in the face of extraordinarily difficult and tragic circumstances. In the experience of this investigation, his story is unparalleled in the history of shipwrecks. Very few castaways can claim to survived so long at sea as Mr. Patel, and none in the company of an adult Bengal tiger.
Finally, people chose a story with animals. So do I.
Success was slow to come, and when it did, it was much appreciated. He, after 227 days, has been saved. What else ? If not God's work of miracle.
A story that will make you believe in God.
A really heart-moving story I would conclude.
Dear Richard Parker,
I will miss you.
